As a young lady I watched Whoopi Goldberg perform as an comedian and actress and deep within my heart that's what I wanted to do. I could see myself on a stage doing a one woman showI made it happen.
The day I left Vista Maria Home for Girls I wanted to write about that experience for years I tried to write it put would throw it away frustrated with the words that was on the page. I didn't believe that I could write about that experience and a way that would bring honor to the experience I'd learned so much from that experience. I know that I wouldn't be the woman that I am today if I hadn't had that experience. I made my dream come true and I wrote my book.
